Fatm is the Folk against the machine.
More on this soon.
Well, maybe a little more on it now. ‘Folk’is both a musical genre and a collective noun.
These forces united against conformity or ‘the machine’ of modern materialistic digi-speak is the Folk against the machine.
This means you. This means me. It means all of us who care that the world has essentially been reduced to a marketplace with everything for sale, including a series of illusions like ‘freedom’ and ‘equality’ that we choose to ignore because so what if there’s an elephant in the room? It’s not like the door is big enough to get him out, anyhow.
I argue that community is the answer to conformity–we can all come together without all being the same.
The best way to fight the machine is to give something away–a song, a smile, a slice of your time. It’s not a marketplace if you give it away for free.
When folk start sharing, the world becomes simpler, meeker, more profound.
